    • What is the cost of having a regular clean?

      The cost depends on the size of the property.  Once you have contacted your local Agency we come to the property and assess the length or time it would take to clean the required areas.  We charge per hour with a minimum of 2 hours.

    • I am moving out of my rented unit.  Do you do moving out cleans?

      We regularly carry out moving cleans but the length of time depends on the thoroughness of the job.  If we are cleaning inside cupboards it can take several hours.  If possible we come and quote the job, but if it is short notice we send cleaners who you will need to tell what you want cleaned.  You will pay for as many hours as the cleaners work.  The Duster Dollies cannot guarantee the refund of a bond.

    • I live overseas but would like to arrange a regular clean for my aged mum, how can I do this?

      Contact us through this website and give us your mother’s details.  Make sure she knows we will be contacting her then we can ring and make arrangements for us to quote her needs.  If you will be paying you can arrange through the Agency to pay directly into The Duster Dollies account.  This can be discussed via email. 

    • I have a friend who is about to have a baby.  I would like to send her a gift certificate for a month’s cleaning when she arrives home from hospital.  How do I do this?

      You can purchase Gift Certificates to a certain amount through the website.  You pay us by Credit Card.  Please make sure your friend is in an area serviced by one of our Agencies.  The Gift Certificate can be forwarded either to you or directly to your friend.  We can work out with your friend the details of the cleaning once she receives the Gift Certificate.  Our minimum clean is 3 hours so if you want to give your friend several cleans you will need to purchase either the Silver or Gold Gift Certificate.

    • I am interested in The Duster Dollies concept of running a cleaning business. How do I find more information about how it is run?

    • I am concerned about security. Can I trust a cleaner in my house?

      This is the most often asked question from prospective customers. Many of our contractors have been with us for several years, but each new contractor is not only interviewed in our office, all their references are checked, police clearance accessed where possible, registered in their home so we can see how they live, and trained in The Duster Dollies cleaning system. All our contractors are covered by Public & Product Liability Insurance. Should you still require more information contact us through this website and we will give you more details.

    • I notice you give quotes. Does this cost and do I have to have a quote?

      The Duster Dollies have found over the years that by giving a free quote of a property we can ascertain the correct number of hours required for the clean. This also helps when we start the cleaner in the home, we can pass on the details worked out with the customer. It also gives us a chance show the cleaner how to access areas and equipment. If we are going to be doing a regular clean the quote makes it easier for the cleaner to achieve the required expectations of the job.

    • I work long hours and cannot be here to let the cleaner in, do I have to give them a key?

      Many of our customers give their cleaner a key. There is no identification kept with them. If there is a problem with security keys for a building we suggest giving the cleaner a key to the letter box where they can collect and leave the front door keys. You must remember to leave the key in the letter box each time. Some customers choose to have a lock opened by a pass number on their letter box. Any system can be accommodated. The best procedure can be discussed during the quote.

    • We have an alarm system. Does this make any difference to the cleaner?

      Many of our customers have alarms systems for their property. Some leave the alarm off for when the cleaner arrives and asks the cleaner to “arm” it when they leave. Some give out a special number for the cleaner who uses that entering and exiting the property. Whichever system is used, we ask that you pass on the details to the Agency. If there is a problem they need to have the details so they can help. Sometimes customers set the alarm forgetting it is the day for the cleaner and when the cleaner arrives it goes off. The Agency has to advise the cleaner what to do especially if the customer cannot be reached.

    • Can I have the cleaner use my products?

      The Duster Dollies supply the cleansers for the jobs. Over the years we have analysed and worked out what products achieve the best results without damaging the environment and all our cleaners are trained using those products. We also have Product Liability insurance on those products. We are happy to use the customer’s products and cloths but cannot guarantee results and do not stand responsible for damage caused if the customer’s products or cloths are used.

    • Do you have a guarantee?

      When you use The Duster Dollies you are using a reliable, professional cleaning service. If at any time you are not satisfied with your clean, providing we are advised within 24 hours, we will investigate your complaint and remedy the problem.

    • Are your cleaners covered by Workers’ Compensation?

      While the cleaner is on your property you cover the cleaner. Workcover automatically cover any person employed by you who you pay less than $7,000 per annum. As you pay the cleaner you are their employer.
